I still have trouble with this concept, which is why I usually avoid restaurants that do the song thing when it’s my birthday. But then again, you do get free things, like a little cake and stuff… Maybe I need to rethink my strategy.
Well, it’s still awkward when the table next to you has the birthday song. You get all the eyes in the restaurant looking in your direction, but no free treat!
