That guy stares at girls AND has a shirt that says "pancakes." I don't think that guy even has the remote concept of giving a crap.

    • Youngguest

maybe it's a team pancakes shirt!

  • PhiBiSoLa

I was reading this comic while listening to Delightful Spekkio, from Chrono Trigger.
    It was awesome. =D

    • Petra

Everything involving chrono trigger is awesome. This is actually the second time I've seen a reference to it today. 🙂

  • Devin ( @Giffdev)

this pretty much sums up English class. PS yes, enjoy mass effect. everyone should play those games (my girlfriend loves them and I'm forcing my father to play them too!).

and now i'm commenting on your comment AND sometimes tweet you on twitter, how METAFRIENDSHIP

  • yakapoe

    Aw shoot!

  • This is hilarious and so creative! xD

  • I was a Panel 7.

    • SteveyStevesen

      I was six 🙂

  • I have just searched "pancakes" on Amazon.com's clothing and accessories section.
There were many pancake-related shirts, but none that simply said "pancakes!"
    This should be rectified.

    • Crow

How dare you! The comic doesn't lie. It can't lie, Only men lie (and some crafty animals) but this is just a Comic.

      • Duth Olec

I need proof in the form of a purchasable pancakes! shirt.
        …that I probably wouldn't actually purchase because I don't care about what I'm wearing, but, you know…

    • michaeljsouth

      Pffft. Amazon. Soooooo mainstream.

  • Dantastic

Sooo…those pancakes shirts are being made right now, yes?

  • Billo

Amazing! Also, this is the first time I've noticed circles appearing in the intersections of blank space between panels while reading – I cannot unsee them!

    • i hate you, i never noticed them until now lol :}D

    • ActualHuman

    • Paula

Haha! I didn't notice that the first time I read it. Optical illusions are always fun. :3

  • Kellz

Pfft, that orange shirt person is so me. Except half the time I walk in after class is over. Fail, lol

  • I'm the commenter who posts about how much this comic made me laugh.

  • Dan

I used to switch back and forth between panel 7 and panel 10.

  • NJenkins

You missed that one guy up in front that ALWAYS asks questions and interrupts at every possible moment, then gets really offended when the teacher (or someone else) tells him to stop.

Hell hath no fury like an idiot scorned.

  • Myself

Ah, yes. I want a shirt that says pancakes!

  • ibbolia

Wait, if he was late, how did he know to mention that he's always late?

    • That's part of the joke =)

    • Mia

Try not to think about it too hard…

  • theANdROId

If only it worked this way…we teachers might have easier jobs! There's also the kid that has his/her own conversation with a friend the whole time no matter what else is going on; the kid that has to re-re-check Facebook every 3 1/2 minutes; …really, you could use this as a sort of template for a few days with the different-yet-stereotypical types of kids you see in every class!

    • SunnyDuckling

I second to this and more!
There's the kid who can't keep their hands, or ruler to themself. Kids who get snarky and whiny about 'they're looking at me'. The kids who rip paper out of their book and start note-taking again because 'it's messy'. The kids who deny swinging back on their chairs. The kids that have a conversation /right in front/ of you and then try to deny it when you go to separate them!

Whoo… better stop. I'm getting all angsty-rage about this and I still have four days of Easter break left before school resumes.

  • Out of these stereotypes, I definitely was the 'i never sleep enough, so I'm always gonna be tired in your class'. Awesome comic as always, keep it up!

  • Shadow

    I'm 3, 5, AND 7.

    • ActualHuman

      You win tic tac toe!

  • DashP

The invisible bread is no longer invisible :O

    Also, I'm 5 and 7

    • Part of the Invisible Bread one year anniversary celebration!

  • Make fun of us all you want. If we didn't answer the questions, class would sit around awkwardly like it does on days we're absent.

  • Ian Feagins

I just saw this on school.failblog.org

I couldn't contain my excitement when I realized that your website is about to get several thousand more views or so. Congratulations, Justin.

    • Thanks Ian! It's pretty awesome to see it up there.

  • I tended to be 4 (sorry!) and 7
