A little while ago, Just Cause 2 was on sale on Steam for $20, so based on a recommendation from my friend teh awesome, I went and bought it.  It might have been the worst decision I’ve made in the past 4 years because I can’t stop playing it.  I’m also starting to have this other problem that is kinda weird.  Lemme try to explain with some images.

Just a plain old screenshot of me looking over a base I want to take over.  But this isn’t how my mind sees this anymore.  This is what I see.

There are certain types of things in the game that you need to destroy.  The list includes fuel silos, water towers, radio antennas, generators, transformers and gas stations.  In order to get 100% in a new area, all these types of things need to be destroyed.  After a while, my mind ended up always being on the lookout for these types of things in the game and it made some of the searching a whole lot easier.

Problem for me is that my mind is starting to do this extra work for the real world too…

This happens as I drive down the highway or through town or pretty much anytime I’m anywhere doing anything.  I see a water tower and a radio antenna on the highway and the first thing that comes to my mind is to get over there to blow them up.

This kind of thing happens whenever I play a lot of a single game.  When I used to play Dance Dance Revolution a lot, I used to sometimes see the dance arrows when I closed my eyes.

Hmm, maybe I should play some Just Cause 2 right now.  There are many a thing that still needs to be exploded.
